Next Day French Toast

A few weekends ago, I had some of my old college friends over for Brunch and made my Mom's
"Next Day French Toast" recipe.
Since this recipe is SUPER easy and SUPER delicious, I decided that it was too good not to share.

1 Loaf of French or Italian Bread (unsliced)
8 Eggs
3 cups Milk
6 Tbl. Sugar
3/4 tsp. Salt
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Cinnamon and Nutmeg to taste
6 tsp. Butter

1. Butter 9x13 Pan (Heavily)

2. Cut French Bread Loaf into 1 inch slices and place flat in buttered pan.

3. Mix all of the ingredients together {except for the last 2}

4. Pour entire mixture over bread.

5. Cover with tin foil and place in the fridge, overnight (or at least 6-36 hours).

When you wake up in the morning, take the french toast out of the fridge, uncover, dot with 6 tsp of butter and sprinkle the Cinnamon and Nutmeg on top.

Start in cold oven and bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.

{add more butter on top like me if you're a fat kid at heart!}

  1. Thanks for sharing! This looks so yummy! I've heard french toast is better with day old bread too - have you tried that?

  2. Delicious? What an awesome way to start a Sunday morning, not even having to make breakfast in the morning? I like it.

  3. Yum! I love anything that I can prep one day & cook the next.

  4. oh, I've heard that's really yummy! looks great :)
