Favorite Author

As I mentioned HERE, I am a HUGE Jodi Picolut fan...
She is by far my favorite author and I have read almost all of her books.

Recently, I can check two more books off of the list...
I just started her new book- The Storyteller and I'm only 100 pages in and can't put it down!

In no particular order, here are the books that I can cross off the list:

Although they are all good...I still think the Pact (#11) is one of my favorites!

Jodi Picoult was actually in Boston 2 weeks ago doing a book signing on Newbury Street.
Unfortunately, the signing was from 12pm-2pm and I could not miss work that day.
So bummed...

Have you read any of Jodi's books!?
Who is your favorite Author?

Something AMAZING happend for me last night that I've been waiting patiently for, for almost a year.  I can't tell you what it is yet, but things are finally starting to fall into place for me after a long wait....

God really does work in mysterious ways and last night I was laughing hysterically to myself thinking of the situation that he has put some people in.

Nail It!

Easter is coming, therefore Pastel season is among us!
I am in desperate need of a mani/pedi and can't wait to choose one of O.P.I's Pastel Colors to rock.

Weekend Recap

I am exhausted today and the fact that we are getting MORE snow in Boston tonight is just not making my mood any lighter....
My weekend was non-stop and keep in mind that throughout all of this mess, I was writing final papers for Grad School...

Friday, I went to one of my College Best Friends Fundraiser, since she will be running the Boston Marathon this year...crazy bish!
Here are a few pics:

They decorated super cute and they each met their goals!
Did you know that you have to raise $4,000 just to run!?
Shit Cray...

Saturday, I woke up and went Bridesmaid dress shopping with my Best Friends
After we were done, we went to lunch, which of course turned into an all day drinking fest...
Oh, your friends wouldn't have done that? Weird...

Sunday, I woke up with a mean hangover and had to go to a baby shower for a good friend...
She looked super cute and the details at the shower were just too cute!
How was your weekend!?

DIY T-Shirt Headband

Today, I'm linking up with Katie and Steph for another edition of:

Recently, I stumbled across these cute DIY T shirt Headbands and just had to give them a try!

Original Pin:

I love wearing headbands to the gym to keep my hair out of my face, but I usually wind up with a headache in minutes...these headbands are the perfect solution, since you can customize them to your liking!

Here are mine:

This project was super easy and I'm really pleased with how they turned out!

All you need are some old t-shirts, scissors, and a sewing machine.
(or if you're like me and don't know how to sew, you can use fabric glue!)

Find some old T-shirts that you don't want anymore and cut them into 5- 2inch strips

Once you have all 5 strips, you sew them or if you're me (glue) them at the top.

Then, start braiding!

The instructions were a little confusing for this particular type of weave, but once I messed around a little bit, I finally figured it out.

Basically, you are going to separate the strands, so that you have three strands on the left and two on the right.
Start on the left with a normal braid and do about 2 crosses.
Then, take the middle piece of those three left strands and use it to begin braiding on the right side.
Start on the right (outside again) and complete about 2 crosses with THREE pieces.

Continue this until you reach your desired length!

are you confused yet?

Once you reach your desired length, sew and/or glue the end.

Next, cut a piece of your t-shirt off and sew/glue it around, where the ends of the headband meets!

Next, rock it!
{Sorry, my hair was such a disaster in this pic...}

these are perfect for the Beach this summer too!

Now go home and start ripping up your boyfriend/hubbies T-Shirts!

xoxo

Happy Spring!

Happy Spring Ladies!!
It's 20 Degrees in Boston today and my car got towed yesterday...
just a few joys of living in New England...

Isn't getting your car towed the weirdest thing...??
I always second guess myself on where I parked and then proceed to call the boyfriend 20 times to make sure that he is not playing a joke on me.
After that, I start assuming that someone stole it....
am I right??
So weird...
Anyways, $130.00 later and I was able to start my grocery shopping.
I got home just in time for the 2 hour Dance Moms special!

After checking the mail last night, I got super excited when I received my Estee Lauder promotional flyer in the mail and learned that they are teaming up with Lil Pulitzer for their "free gift" this year.
I think my offer expires this Saturday, but It looks like they will eventually be continuing the promotion into Summer.
I'm thinking of getting my free gift tonight, but I just don't know which pattern to get!? I want them ALL!

I guess I'll have to see whats available!
I used to work for Estee Lauder and am now missing the good old days where I used to get all the "free gifts" actually for "free".
Here are some of their products that I swear by:

Will you be running to Macy's tonight like me??

Man Friend Easter Baskets!

With Easter right around the corner, I've been trying to  think of cute Easter ideas that my Man and I can do to make the day funner more entertaining.
Naturally, I hit up Pinterest for some cute ideas and here's what I came up with:

A longgg time ago!  Does bringing food to the beach count??

What is your favorite thing to eat/bring to a picnic?
