My Graduation Present to Myself...

I can't believe I'm finally going to be graduating with my Masters Degree in May!
Whenever I tell my Friends or Family that I'm finished with school this May, they always say:
"that went by really quick"
...
"Oh really? I reply... "Because this has been the longest two years of my life!"

No joke!

If I could take it all back, I don't think I would do anything differently, but If you're looking for me to tell you that it was easy peasy and that I'm looking forward to the $40,000 that I just increased my student loans to, you have come to the wrong place my friends...

What I can tell you is that I am looking forward to having my free time back!
I can't wait to stop saying "no" to fun things and I certainly can't wait to stop logging back onto a computer after staring at one for the last 8 hours straight at work.

That being said, here are 5 things that I can't wait to do after I graduate in May:

1. No Plans
For the last two years straight, most of my Saturday mornings have consisted of waking up, going to get a coffee and then coming home to endless hours on the computer.
I can't wait to just go get my coffee and then not have a plan in the world.
Maybe I'll enjoy my coffee on the Beach, stop in to see a Family Member or Friend or maybe I'll even plop my ass down on the couch and watch ABC Movie's until noon time!

2. Laundry/Clean Closet
Laundry has been the bain of my existence since forever, but when you have little time to sort and organize your clothes, it makes it difficult to ever "enjoy" what you own for clothes.
Which brings me to another point....I can't wait to clean out my closet!  Every weekend since two years ago I have been promising myself almost every weekend that I would clean out my closet.  Unfortunately, the hours on the weekends are limited and after writing a 15 page research paper, sifting through old clothes is one of the last things on my "to do" list.

3. Blog More
I can't wait to grow this blog and start putting 150% of my efforts into it.

4. Clean House
A Clean House! (Geez... I'm making it sound like I live in an episode of Hoarders, but I promise thats not the case...)  I can't wait to keep my house organized and tidy after I graduate.  There will be way more hours in the days to be had and I will certainly have more time to keep everything organized and not just do the usual Saturday morning run through...

5. Cook
I can't wait to be able to cook more homemade meals and have the time to waste experimenting with more recipes and ingredients!
Right now, we are no strangers to the Frozen Pizza aisle, infact, I think we keep them in business, but although they are amazing, I can't wait to start cooking healthy, delicious meals!

That being said, you probably think I'm the worst housewife ever, but hey I'm not "officially" a wife until August, so there's still time, right?

Link up with The Farmer's Wife and September Farm to tell us about your 5 on Friday!

  1. May is going to bring so many good things for you! Not only graduating (huge) but how nice will it to be to wake up on a Saturday with no plans! That’s my favorite! Actually having time to cook, eat and enjoy your meal will be fantastic!
