Honeymoon Recap!

The morning after our Wedding and yes, I mean 6AM the next day...Steve and I woke up, scrambled around our hotel room looking for our things and jetted off to the gorgeous St. Lucia for 2 whole weeks!
For all you future honeymooners- Do not wait to go on your honeymoon!  In my opinion it would just not feel as special.  I give you permission to  leave a day in between though...

When we arrived to St. Lucia, all groggy and gross from our flight, Steve grabbed our bags and practically started running.  I was tired and annoyed, but had no idea that Steve had booked a reservation for us on a private helicopter to the Northern part of the island.

In St. Lucia, their main airport (Hewanorra) is at the Southern tip of the Island and our hotel was on the Northern tip.  Taking the helicopter ride there cut our two hour taxi ride into a 30 minute scenic tour of the Island...he's a keeper!

I was absolutely shocked. I felt like I was on the Bachelorette (only with my husband and not making out with 10 random dudes at a time...)

Still have my fake eyelashes on and all....

Here's a photo dump of the rest of our honeymoon for you:

The Mud bath was super hot the day we went...even our tour guide wouldn't get in!

Horseback Riding:

Messing with my camera and our rings!

We were there for 2 weeks and I had over 500 pictures!

Have you ever been to St. Lucia!?  Where did you go on your honeymoon?

  1. This looks beautiful! I need to go to St. Lucia soon! We were going to go there for our honeymoon but then when I got pregnant I didn't want to fly that far, so we took a cruise instead. I completely agree with leaving right after your wedding, we did the same and I wouldn't have changed a thing =)

  3. I wish we could have left for our honeymoon right after our wedding but we actually had about six weeks in between. However, I had a little case of post wedding depression so it was nice to have something else to look forward to! haha

  5. Everything looks beautiful! We waited 2 weeks after our wedding to go on our honeymoon because I didn't want to miss the 4th of July and we were going to be gone for 3 weeks. I actually was really happy we waited though, we were able to settle in and not stress about what was yet to be done when we got home and of course still having something to look forward too. But I have heard that leaving the next day is nice so you don't have time to even think about those things haha

    1. THank you, haha...yes, it was definitely tough because we had to leave all of our family and friends right away! AND we had to collect all our belongings from friends and family two weeks after coming home! lol
