Weekend Recap with A Beach Lover

I can't believe that it's Monday already.  The Weekends have just been flying by and the Holidays will be here before we know it!

Friday night, Steve and I ordered Chinese caught up on our new show- Code Black and were literally in bed by 9pm (I know, we are wild and crazy)!

The benefit of going to bed early on a Friday night, means that you wake up at the crack of dawn and beat all of the crowds to the gym and grocery store on Saturday.

I had the entire gym to myself and then I didn't have to wait in line at the deli counter for 45 minutes.  Maybe waking up early on the Weekends isn't as terrible as everyone thinks!

I have been reading a lot of Bloggers secrets on how to save money and a popular tip that I've seen is that if you make a list prior to going to the grocery store and ONLY buy items on that list, it will help you save some money.
I was able to plan meals for the week prior to leaving for the grocery store and was able to see what items we already had.  I also told myself that I wanted to keep this grocery run under $100 and managed to spend $110.  I'd say that's pretty darn close to my goal and its definitely a start.  I also use an app called Ibotta where I can purchase specific items and get cash back for them.  I ended up getting $2.05 back in cash from the app and they had a bonus of $2.00 so I actually made $4.05 back from the grocery trip!  It doesn't seem like a lot, but it eventually adds up and I have a balance of $25.60, plus it only takes about 2 minutes of my time.

After the Grocery store I headed over to Marshall's where I found this adorable notebook that says: "Today Sounds So Much Better than Someday!" I can't wait to write massive amounts of "useless" lists in this cute lil' notebook.

Saturday afternoon, Steve and I ended up looking at what we thought was going to be our new home.  The house was a short walk to the beach, two floors, a big yard, but the layout was just not what we had envisioned.  Washer and Dryer in the Kitchen?  #Nothanks
Let the hunt continue!

After the house hunting fail, we headed over to some friends of ours for a Friendsgiving Feast complete with an outdoor Dance party!

I think I started eating my feelings about the house fail, because the rest of my Weekend pictures consist of delicious food...

Sunday Morning Steve and I woke up and headed out for some Breakfast.

I opted for the Strawberry French Toast and it was delish!

Sunday afternoon we headed to my Parents house to watch the Patriots remain undefeated and of course we ATE AGAIN.

My Mom made the most AMAZING Buffalo Chicken Chili that I just had to have two bowls of!
I'll be sharing the recipe soon!

'Tis the Season for eating way to much!?
