A Beach Lover: 2015 Recap

2015 was seriously one of the best years of my life.  I feel like I had so many exciting things going on that it just flew by in the blink of an eye! Can you believe this is the last day of 2015?  I honestly can’t even remember what Steve and I did for New Years Eve last year, but I’m sure it entailed some champagne and me hitting my REM sleep before the drop of the ball.  Whatever we did, it was clearly not that exciting, since this old lady can’t even remember.

This brings me to an important point that I wish my 21 year old self knew- New Years Eve does not set the tone for your entire year, it is just another night and whether you choose to spend it in your pajamas with loved ones or spend $100 to attend a fancy party, that is 100% your decision.

From someone who clearly didn’t do anything extravagant last year on New Year’s Eve, Here’s proof that NYE did not set the tone for my year.  Here's a look at my 2015 year:

1. Mexico- Steve and I went to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico with his entire company and it was seriously one of the best vacations that I have ever been on.  We went zip-lining, swam in a bat cave, saw the Mayan ruins and drank way too many frozen cocktails.  You can read about it HERE.  We will be heading to Cancun, Mexico in March this year and I can’t wait!

2. Graduated- I finally graduated with my MBA in May!  I had been working towards my Masters for the last two and a half years and am so proud to say that I am done!  Now I have the joy of putting those 3 little letters after my last name accompanied with a $42,000 student loan…

3. Wedding Shower- My Bridesmaids threw my Wedding Shower back in July at my Parents House and it was such a great day.  I don’t think I will ever stop being the most awkward human being alive when I open presents in front of people though…Recap HERE.

4. Got My First Birdie: I played Golf a lot this Summer and learned that it is probably one of the most frustrating games you will ever play.  Anyways, I got my first Birdie and probably my last ever on a Par 3 hole.

5. Bachelorette Party #1- I was lucky enough to have two bachelorette parties this summer.  The first one was a limo ride with a handful of my closest friends accompanied with a night out on the town.

6. Bachelorette Party #2- A trip to Martha’s Vineyard with my best friends. Recap HERE

7. Wedding- Best Day of my life!  We had an amazing nautical-themed beach wedding that you can read about HERE.  It was seriously my dream wedding.

8. Honeymoon- The morning after our Wedding, Steve and I headed to the airport and it was off to St. Lucia for 2 whole weeks!  If you’re planning a honeymoon and/or have never taken 2 weeks off from work before, I highly recommend it.  You can see more pictures HERE.

I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for me!

How was your 2015 year!?
